Enjoy The
Pacific Coast Highway
California's Highway Route 1 is also known as
the Pacific Coast Highway, following the coastline from Leggett
in Mendocino County in Northern California to San Juan
Capistrano in Orange County in Southern California.

One of the longest state routes in California
(after Interstate 5 and U.S. 101), California Highway Route 1
sees some of the most beautiful terrain in the state, making
many "Best Drives in the U.S.A." lists.
In addition to following the Pacific Coast and
passing through beautiful Big Sur, it is also the only route to
Hearst Castle in San Simeon, passes over the Golden Gate Bridge
in San Francisco, is a freeway bypass route around Monterey
Bay, and enters the Point Reyes National Seashore.
The State Flower is the California Poppy.
The State Tree is the California Redwood.
The State Bird is the California Valley Quail.
The State Colors are Blue and Gold.
The State Song is I Love You, California.
